Only big monies for Kinng Kumar

The word is that the hot flavour of the season Akshay Kumar has charged a huge sum just for lending his voice to one of his upcoming projects- the animation film ‘Jumbo.’

Now like a true blue B-Town guy Akki has always refused to talk about the acting fee he charges but the big buzz is that the actor is creating a new record of sorts, as far as his remuneration is concerned.

Apparently he has been paid a whopping sum of Rs. 9 crore to dub for the character of an elephant in the film made by Percept Picture Company.

And that’s not all. The actor will get half the profit that the film makes.

As a result of this deal, Akshay will have to complete the shooting of PPC’s stalled project ‘Eight By Ten’ which is being directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. It has been stuck since last year due to some irreconcilable differences between Akshay and Kukunoor.

The film is supposedly a psychological thriller and Akki plays a man with amazing mental powers. It probably is inspired by Manoj Night Shyamalan’s ‘Unbreakable’ which starred Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson.

B-Town has almost lost confidence in bad boy Salman Khan as he has a string of flops in a row now- ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Yuvvraaj’ which kind of benefits the hit machine in a big way!

Looking at the current status of Kinng Kumar, it seems that King Khan and even Aamir Khan have a lot to worry about! -(SAMPURN)
